6.6km today & 21km for the week so far, 8 runs/11 days this month
What a day, very busy at work and left late, arrived at the track at 5:40pm, it was cold, dark, raining and windy! All things I dislike to run in, but I was there and it needed to be done, positivity....
I started off with 5 laps in lane 8 with the final lap concentrating on drills & plymetric style stretches, a little bit of stretching and then into a session of 6x1k by myself. Normally tonight would have been 8 reps but I decided to reduce after Monday's session and it was yuk weather...
After 3 solid reps I decided I would reduce slightly so I could keep some freshness in the legs for the Melbourne Midday Milers Tan Handicap , so I reduce the reps to 800s and slightly increased the pace.
Splits (recovery):
3:49 (1:10 floating 200m)
3:49 (1:12 floating 200m)
3:50 (1:10 floating 200m)
3:01 (1 min standing)
3:00 (58 sec standing)
2:58 (2 lap cool down)
A solid session, but really I probably should have stuck at the 1k reps, but..... I didn't, oh well.
