Thu 20 Oct, short sharp track session

7km today and 54km for the week so far

At the track, warm up of 5 laps with strides & some drills, lots of stretching. Speed & shorter breaks is the call today, 6x400m @ 76sec per lap with a 75 sec break, no more. Doing the session with Dave S, Burkie's suggestion is for him to go slightly slower, probably 4 sec, so he will start just before me and the perfect world is we cross the line together.

1:18 (walk 200m, changed shoes, put on more clothes and then a 5 lap c/d with Dave & then Luke)

The short faster stuff really gets the breathing happening, much different to 1k repeats. The breaks were manageable, I asked Luke about his Tue session, 6x800 @ 2.36 with 30 sec break......

Racing on Saturday, 1500m & 400m. May go for an easy 30-45 minute run on Friday.
