Well today is the Telstra A Series at Olympic Park and I want to get there 6pm ish, so I will do my training session during the day. I send an email to Burkie to check what I should be aiming to do, his suggestion is 800, 700, 600, 500, 400, 300, 200, 200 at 1 sec faster per lap than 1500m pace (78-79s per lap). 3 min break between 8, 7, 6 then 2 min between 5, 4 & 3 and then 1 min between 2's. So I get the key for the track and go down there at 1pm. Nice & sunny, little to no wind and about 25 degrees.
I get to the track and do 5 lap warm up, followed by so standing stretches, 5x50m stride thru and then some more stretching, then DS Racers and do 3 more stride thru slightly faster. decide to sun the body as there is no-one here to scare today.
I do all of the set session, the hardest part was the 600 set, but I got all in time or slightly under. The 300m and less, I was slightly faster, more at a 1200 pace.
Finish with 4 slow laps. Good session, nice to vary the distances.
